Emerson Connor Bermuda Island race
It has been a few weeks since we returned from Bermuda and it goes without saying that the island is beautiful and the people are even nicer. From the moment the plane landed till the races finished we were busy. The afternoon we landed there were several TV and radio interviews lined up and that carried on till the next day.

We weren’t able to get too much practise in as our bike was tied up with the Bermuda Customs but with the help of the local motorcycle club they were able to make some calls to the proper dignitaries and the next thing we knew the bike was at the track with no time to spare.

We were glad to be able to see and hang out with all our Bermudian friends we have made over the years.
The track has a beautiful backdrop as it is on the edge of the airport and is right on the edge of the ocean. The track is quite a bit smaller than we were used to riding and took some getting used but was very fun and challenging. The track surface has a lot of grip Emerson ended the race day in 2nd  place and really enjoyed himself. Everyone was very helpful and made us feel right at home.

We would like to thank the Bermuda Motorcycle Racing Club for the great experience. Special thanks to David Jones, Paul DeCouto (great Wahoo!), Dennis Wilson (great Rum and cigars!) and Cyril Whitter III (Government negotiations!).

Emerson Connor Results BeaveRun Raceway- Pennsylvania 1st Place

Last weekend Emerson ran a great Grand Prix 125 race with second place position more than a full straight away behind him. This wraps up a #1 Regional WERA plate for the 2009 season. At the other side of the BeaveRun facility www.beaverun.com on the Supermoto track (BeaveRun has 2 tracks) it was great to see our long time friends at the ESMRA www.esmra.com  Supermoto event. Watching some of the Supermoto rounds brought back a lot of great memories. Forrest Green from Wheeling Cycle www.wheelingcyclesupply.com  was also there as the major vender at the ESMRA Supermoto event and as always it was great hanging out with Forrest.

Our friends Fraser and Andrea McDonald from Thornbury, Ontario stopped by to see Emerson race. They drove down on the big KTM 950, outfitted with the full luggage and GPS system, it looked great!

This weekend we may be at our favourite road race track Calabogie www.calabogiemotorsports.com for some practise. If you haven’t been to Calabogie yet for a track day get yourself booked in with Pro 6 www.pro6.com as they are the sole organizer for track days at Calabogie. Emerson has rode on every National AMA/USA MotoGP track and he says Calabogie is still the best.

I also wanted to mention how good the Bickle www.bickleracing.com knee sliders have held up all season. We were going through a set of knee sliders every day at the track, we have been using the Bickle knee sliders since the spring and we are still using the same set and I think they may last us another season. No wonder they are rated the # 1 knee slider.

Emerson Connor Results Virginia International Raceway and Grattan, MI

The last month of racing has been great and were able to get 1st place finishes in the GP125 classes at both tracks. VIR as per usual had the property and tracks prepared to perfection. We would like to thank our new sponsor Spiegler USA for providing stainless steel custom brake lines. Emerson said he immediately felt a huge difference over the HRC brake lines.

We expect to hitting Beaverun, PA the start of Sept for the next race and hopefully make it to Calabogie mid Sept for some more practice. Thanks for your support.

Emerson Connor Grattan, Michigan National Round Race 1st Place July 12, 2009

Our friend Tim Marks from Titan Racing accompanied us to the race. The weather was perfect. We had a productive practise day on Friday, Saturday was a day off so we went Rock Climbing in Grand Rapids. On Sunday the bike ran like a charm and the motor was strong. Emerson handily won the GP class race and is looking forward to the next round at VIR in Virginia. We will keep you posted!

Hot Hot Hot!!!

On our way down to Atlanta we stopped in to see our friends at Five Star Cycle in Pennsylvania and Wheeling Cycle Supply in West Virginia.

The coolest day at the track was 36 C and it got as hot as 39 C on Sunday and always very humid. It was a great time and I will never complain about the heat again as my tolerance level is at a new high!

The bike ran real good in Friday testing and then in Saturday’s Solo race and Emerson was 5th out of about 35 racers at the line on Saturday. Emerson with the smallest of the cc’s motorcycles did real well considering that Road Atlanta is a very large track and horsepower is very useful here.

On Sunday it was just way too hot (39 C) to run the bike at Emerson’s race speed the way it was set up and my mechanical prowess didn’t allow for much deviation from the set-up I arrived with. We expect our next few races to be in Michigan(Grattan) and then in Virginia (VIR).

Hi everyone!

Practise went great.
Thanks to Bickle Racing for the great knee sliders and super cool name patch on the back of Emerson’s leathers.

It rained the entire day yesterday but that worked out fine for Emerson as he loves the rain. Heading up to Circuit Mont Tremblant for 2 more days of testing.

Thanks to all Emerson’s sponsors.

Scott R. Connor

Hi everyone!

The start of the season has been great. The start of May we had a race in Ohio whereby a 2nd place was good start to the year to shake the bugs out. The following week Emerson went to Michigan and entered 3 races and won all 3! Attached are a few pictures of this year’s bike.

The engine is being removed this week and being rebuilt by Tim Marks at Titan Racing. The BICKLE Racing Tire warmers are working great as per usual on the Dunlop racing slicks.

In the following weeks he will be doing some practising at Calabogie Motorsports with Pro6 Cycle and then a few days at Circuit Mt. Tremblant race track before heading back down to the US for some more racing. We will keep you up to date! Thanks for your support!

Regards,
Scott  R. Connor
